A Quiet Prayer

Dear Lord,

If it be Thy will and if Thou art truly the God with a deep sense of humor that passeth all understanding, please give unto the executives of CBS news the wisdom and the vision to make Cindy Sheehan the new anchor of the CBS Nightly News.
Amen.

LOL.

The scary thing – it might not hurt the ratings.

You know what? Sheehan-bashing only shows the shallow heartlessness and stupidity of the basher. Have you ever been in a room when someone starts ranting about Niggers, and the everyone in the room quietly takes a step away from the bigot? The bigot has said much more about himself than about African Americans. Sheehan bashing has the same effect, but has the additional benefit of being in exact opposition to conservative talking points of the last thirty years.

Either support the troops, (which includes their families), or at least admit that you don’t care about them except as tools to use to win arguments with moonbats. The troops don’t choose which the wars they fight; we don’t get to support only the troops we like.

Disagree with her point of view, but nasty jokes about her being on CBS are beneath you.

Alas, we do not get to assign, at will, the historic plight of African Americans to Cindy Sheehan.

She just hasn't been around long enough and is, the last time I checked, a member of the white, female majority.

Finally, when a person self-bashes to this extent, other bashing fades in comparison.

Jim's got a point. Whatever Cindy Sheehan has done, it's surely not so monstrous that she deserves to be associated with CBS, "the network of Dan Rather".
