I'm not down on war toys per se, but this one crosses the line! L@@K BRAND NEW VEEKER ML9 PAINTBALL MINI GUN.
On ebay with the obligatory illiterate description that lets you know the seller has been playing paintball without a helmet for a wee bit too long.
On the other hand, for around $14,000, I could be a hero for life to my 10-year-old stepson. Except for the fact that I could never again sit with my back to the door.
Posted by Vanderleun at September 19, 2004 11:16 AM | TrackBackYou could also take him out for an ice-cream cone every day for next 8 years, which would strike him as much more heroic in the decades to follow.
But Wow! That paintball gun would be cool for about 20 minutes. I'd give a Jackson to let 'er rip once or twice.
Posted by: slimedog at September 20, 2004 8:05 AMWouldn't strike me as more heroic. I'd enjoy the minigun for the rest of my life and thank my dad for not getting me addicted to sweets.
20 minutes. Sheesh. What a maroon.
Posted by: Uncle Mikey at September 21, 2004 8:06 AMI should say this looks more like a real minigun and less like something that could actually shoot paintballs every time I look at it. Those balls would probably not survive whatever process it would take to funnel that many into a firing mechanism unless they were frozen, and then you might as well be shooting bullets.
But it sure seems like a festive idea.
Posted by: Uncle Mikey at September 21, 2004 8:09 AMHooooooly frick. (Twelve year old Fantasizer talking) With some humvees and a couple hundred of those I could take over a village... maybe a small city... DAMN, that is one hot machine. ^^;
Posted by: Drew at September 22, 2004 6:25 PMSure, one ball hurts about the same as a regular marker.
The thing about 'paint hoses' like this one is that you'll get hit with about 20 balls at once.
Posted by: Chris of Dangerous Logic at September 24, 2004 11:47 AMhe he, i wanna c this thing in action..... then buy it, and ifter that, if ANYONE calls me a n00b again, i'll proove them wrong....

Posted by: Bob at June 25, 2005 3:16 AMhahaha.. this is a cool item that is fast.. but its only good for Senario paintball.. but now.. its 2007.. dye and proto have come out with guns that go 40bps.. simi or fullauto without breaking a ballin the gun.. there are people that rockout there guns and put little things on it to go faster..72bps.. wow..that would hurt.. this gun is a waste of time and money... you would be able to shoot this guy out easly.. "look for the slow retard with the huge gun".. mounting it on a car would be the only way to go with this crazy thing..ok well g2g.. Matt
Posted by: matt at April 23, 2007 9:35 AMI like it. I could paint one entire side of my two story house in what, less than a minute?
Posted by: Mr Jones at July 27, 2007 10:35 AMShit mine as well just build a paintball cannon!!!
Shit mine as well just build a paintball cannon!!!
its fake of course, but its a cool idea. No way I'd get it, its hardly practicle. Haha, ya there is nothing heroic about giving your son cavities or making him obese. There is something heroic though about running out into a forest with paintball guns, dodging balls of paint, protecting him and letting him shoot some guys and having a blast. Paintball is a great father son game, probably the best since it dont matter who you are. Try it before you critisize it.
