Let’s Review 31: Non•flict Edition

Non•flict (n.) A bunch of nonsense you say to generate conflict. House of Eratosthenes

In fact, the first thing I thought when I heard about this false nuke alarm thing, before I even knew the details, when all I knew was that it was a false nuke alarm, my first reaction, “I wonder if it’s somebody out there who wanted to give the world a glimpse of what will happen if we don’t get rid of Trump.” I Can’t Accept Hawaii’s Excuse for the False Nuke Alert Rush Limbaugh Show

Around the world we see that just about everybody wants to live with the White Christian Dudes. We see this drive to live with White Christian Dudes every day along our southern border; Australians see it on their coasts and in the changing make up of their cities; Britons in the unceasing wave of migrants besieging their island. The DiploMad 2.0: In Defense of White Dudes

Mr.Trump on the Apertures: Stark Madness and Inmiscibility | For whatever reason, the worst of the Trumpian apertures are in Africa. On racial grounds, the media ignore that cannibalism flourishes, that albinos are hunted down and killed for the magical powers attributed to their body parts. (Dead serious .LA Times: “In parts of Africa, people with albinism are hunted for their body parts. The latest victim: a 9-year-old boy.”)

Trump Slashes Federal Bureaucracy, ‘Morale Has Never Been Lower’ The Environmental Protection Agency is on track to slash 47% of its total staff by the end of President Trump’s first term, according to a report in the Washington Examiner. After just one year, EPA chief Scott Pruitt has reduced his staff to levels unseen since the Reagan administration. If just those federal employees set to retire by 2021 do indeed leave, Pruitt will have cut more than 7,000 bureaucrats.

Hawaii Uh-Oh | The real peril is cheapened by the imaginary one.  The actual warning is blunted by the fake.  If there is one unequivocal danger those “38 minutes in Hawaii” engendered, it is desensitization.  The next time the missile alarm is sounded — possibly on the occasion of the real thing — thousands are doubtless going to say “well, there go those morons crying wolf again.

The strange thing about Hollywood is the future they imagine is usually rather unimaginative. It’s either a hellish apocalyptic world, where order has broken down, or it is a soulless nirvana of glass and stainless steel. While the later may lack the grit and chaos of the former, it always has some malevolent force at its core. I can’t think of an example of a movie where Hollywood creates a future that is nicer than the present. The stuff might be nicer, but the people are always less happy. Hollywood is not a town of optimists. Bright

Thought experiment regarding immigration from “shithole” countries: 1) Think of a so-called “shithole” country, and one that obviously isn’t (say, Haiti and Finland). 2) Swap all the people, leaving all their stuff behind. 3) Check back in 25 years. 4) What results do we expect?Gestanken-Experiment

If on the other hand, everyone must seek permission to association with others, then there can be no individual liberty of any kind. Places where people must get permission to speak and move are called prisons. Thinking Backward

Are skirts the next men’s fashion trend? t A wrap skirt paired with a matching jacket showed up at the Astrid Andersen show in London, as well as a flasher-worthy trench dress at Alex Mullins, and a aflirty full skirt bounced along at Bobby Abley.

These are the deadliest civilian jobs in the US : 9 – First-line supervisors of construction trades and extraction workers Fatal injuries per 100,000 workers – 18 Total deaths – 134

Shadowbans and the Twitterdämmerung of Free Expression | Shadowbanning lets Twitter have it both ways: to play the paragon of free speech, claiming it doesn’t actually remove speech, while simultaneously allowing its engineers and their partisan algorithms to hide from view any posts deemed unsavory by their lights. Essentially, Twitter is disappearing speech the company deems unfit. What’s more, Twitter employees happily apply salve to their conscience by noting this is a means of looking for bots—i.e., nonhuman accounts—which they seem to conflate with “redneck” thought.

NOprah: Oprah Winfrey is loved across the globe for being the fattest black female billionaire in world history, and for that, she deserves to be worshiped! Most people know her for making film history after becoming the first female African American thespian to pee for ten minutes straight on film in Steven Spielberg’s heartwarming racial/gender drama The Color Purple. Sure, even after America rewarded her with enough wealth to buy several African countries in addition to a lifetime Weight Watchers membership, she still feels fit to lie and say that millions of black Americans were lynched (actually, the best estimate pegs the total at around 3,446) and fabricate racist hate crimes against herself. Heck, according to her cousin, Oprah even lied about growing up poor. The Week That Perished

Almost trigger World War 3, keep your job | “This guy feels bad, right. He’s not doing this on purpose — it was a mistake on his part and he feels terrible about it,” Miyagi said. That’s it. No name, no shame, no penalty at all. It’s a Democratic Party state, run by Democrats for Democrats.

This is CNN . . . in 1945 – CNN has also learned that President Roosevelt has been absent from the White House for weeks at a time and has been too ill to work at his desk. Yet he continues to chain smoke and drink a series of stiff drinks each evening, a habit dating back to Prohibition before he was president. As one source put it to CNN, ‘He is incorrigible. We try to get the president to eat healthier food and stop smoking and drinking. No dice. He is like a child, scarfing down eggs, honey biscuits, sugary gelatin, and cottage cheese, smiling while he mixes martinis for his buddies and puffing away on that infernal cigarette holder. Does he want to die eating that stuff?’”

Google needs a new CEO, but dumping Sundar Pichai is not enough Can you trust a self-driving car from Google, if some new company policy might reprogram it to avoid events Google doesn’t approve? Can you trust Google to prevent its (apparently many) “social-justice warrior” employees from trawling through your personal data looking for dirt, and then leaking it?

A Hit Man Came to Kill Susan Kuhnhausen. She Survived. He Didn’t. Ten years later, she tells her story.

Wheels within wheels with this President; we should not forget that this indeed is a president who plays 4-D chess; he has an amazing ability, an unparalleled ability, to troll the progs, make them explode in outrage and, thereby, reveal the slimy hypocrisy that flows though their scaly bodies. “Places where people must get permission to speak and move are called prisons.” -or schools. That the education system co-opted the term and process, ‘lock-down’ from the penal system provides a blatant example of this truth.

The reduction of the bloat in government is fantastic news. I hope the slashing continues apace. It was insulting enough when wages and benefits far exceeded anything in the private sector where the mutts pay the freight. But then these miscreants actually believed that they are our betters and that we, the great unwashed, cannot survive without them. Hence, an un-elected empress presiding over a weaponized I.R.S., and an insurance policy devised to undermine a presidential election. Good riddance! Would that we could salt the ground whereupon these vast, unaccountable ministries dedicated to the destruction of the pursuit of happiness stand.

I actually got a laugh out of the nuclear alarm that sent ’em all scurryin’ in Hawaii. It prob never occurred to the islanders to check their TVs or radios or any other source for back up or at least an outside announcement that a missile had been launched.

Are these sun worshippers so static that they didn’t think that the entire world would go into a civil defense posture, and that all programming etc. would be preempted and interrupted by national or world sources if an actual launch had occurred with a missile that went in any direction other than in Little Un’s typical missile paths?

Nope, people really are stupid or maybe their imaginations just lead them to abandon all reasoning when they are frightened. Kim Jung Un loves to screw around with the heads of US Presidents and he knows very well that NK cannot endure a retaliatory nuclear strike from anywhere. His a vicious little bastard of a tyrant, no question about it, but he is no fool and he’s not about to launch anything at the US while Don Trump is president.

Before the British gave Hong Kong to the Communist Government of mainland China, I thought it would have been a Good Thing to take over Haiti and offer it to the residents of Hong Kong.
In ten or fifteen years, it would have been a flourishing jewel of the Caribbean, making Cuba and everyone else look foolish….
Of course, to do so would have required some sort of land-grabbing Imperialist Power straight out of the mid-nineteenth century— so it was Utterly Impossible… but it is still a great thought experiment!

“…everybody wants to live with the White Christian Dudes.”

Well yes, because that’s where the civilization, civility and opportunities are. But then there comes the opportunity to take by force what cannot be had by their own ability. That is when the piper must be paid. We see it in the early stages now in much of Europe. We see it too in Canada and the U.S. but with less realization by the citizenry. It is said that Australia has the most sensible immigration policies in the Western world but that probably won’t save them in the long run. Australia has something very valuable and they live exactly where that value is most needed. I would expect that one day soon China will make a bold move and make Australia an offer they cannot refuse. Australia may well be the prize that China eyes and will someday have.

As for Europe their days are numbered… As are ours and Canada’s. Don’t believe it, just watch.

It does not have to happen this way. Italy, France, England and Germany could rise up and throw the invaders out and then make a union based on mutual protection from the hordes and invaders. It will take real leaders with real guts and it will take the army not the police. It will also require a state of war or emergency so that the civil courts and hangers on do not use your own democracy to scuttle those who would save you. It could be done and I believe with surprising ease and speed with enough resolve and guts. But I see no guts, no leaders, no statesmen, no resolve. I see only lily-livered politicians and elite who are afraid of being called racists or islamophobes and have no will to fight for their lives. So we will see it, the end of civilization, in our lifetime.

Well you can let em have you and all your stuff if you want, but over here at the GS Compound (GSC) none of that stuff is going to happen. You’ll be able to locate GSC on google maps instantly, it’s the small place with a huge perimeter of rotting communist corpses and every sort of carnivorous critter in the northern hemisphere will be there partaking of the carrion feast of feast. Off with their nutz!

PS: There will be millions of facsimile’s of GSC’s dotted all over the fruited plains.

    Gone With the Wind:

How relevant this is depends on whether one considers Japan part of the West, but I think they have a far more sensible immigration policy than does Australia. Next to no immigration – and rather more importantly, no Muslims at all.

Incidentally, I don’t think Japan is part of the West. It’s gone in a different direction entirely, and increasingly looks like an enclave of technologically advanced aliens.

    In RE: The Thought Experiment.

Back when that earthquake hit Haiti I told my dad that if all Haitians were moved to Switzerland, and all Swiss to Haiti, then in five years Switzerland would be an Alpine garbage dump, and Haiti a tropical paradise with cuckoo clocks.

It is the culture; we have enough home-grown garbage cultures, we do not need to import other ones.

Trump will slash half of the EPA? That is a nice start. Some need new jobs, some need rehab, and some need jail time. F’I were on the Trump team, I’d push to see the FBI reassigned from trying to undermine this administration, to investigating crimes committed by the EPA. I know, I know: most of those crimes are political in nature, but that seems to be the bailiwick of the FBI these days.
    Scorched. Earth.
