The rapper, 34, surprised his Grandma Helen (who is beloved by his fans) in Modesto, California to celebrate her 100th birthday. If the sweet surprise wasn’t enough, Macklemore spent the day granting every one of Grandma Helen’s wishes.“Today we’re going to do whatever you want to do,” the Grammy winner tells the matriarch who responds: “Anything? God, I want to do it all!”

Never seen a slo-mo daytime egging. It should be a Senior Olympics event.
Damn, Gerard this really get me. I didn’t have a Grandmother Helen, but my two children did, if you catch my drift. She lived until the age of 93. This woman, at the age of 100, appears to be in the same condition that my mother was in at 85. She could live until the age 0f 110.
She was born in Philly and had COPD her entire life, which is why I was born a Phoenician. She caught some COPD bug Thanksgiving of 2015 and just couldn’t shake it and passed on Christmas Eve. So the only family member who had a Happy Christmas that year was my Dad, IYKWIM. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think I need a Kleenex

Being an official old fart (65), I generally don’t appreciate that style of music but that was a beautiful, loving tribute to his Grandma. Well done, Sir.
I hope I’m as spunky as that lady when I’m her age. And while I sincerely applaud his spending time with Grandma, it’s a shame we had to listen to the (c)rap noise over it all.
