Drive By: Life Echoes Art — Especially when it comes to pretending you were raped by Donald Trump

A couple of days back some demented slag accused Trump of raping her in a Bergdorf Goodman’s dressing room sometime back before World War One… or something like that. It was the standard Kavanaugh/Trump horror story du jour for somewhat less than a jour. Today sharp-memoried experts in second-rate television remembered something stinky and familiar from Law and Order SVU, Season 13, Episode 11.

Look At the palaver around 42:15. Here it is in the script:

Did anyone want to roleplay a rape with you in a public place?
Yes, there was one a bit plain. And it was not her fantasy, it was mine.
Okay.
Roleplay took place in the dressing room at Bergdorf’s while she was trying on lingerie. I would burst in.
Hold on. When did you and she have your date?
Six weeks ago, maybe. She wrote back, wanted to get together.
And two weeks later, you and Meghan started emailing.
Yes.
The day that she posted her profile, I wrote I was intrigued.
Thank you very much for coming in, your honor.
I sincerely hope it’s of help.
Lot going on under those robes.
….
We know about you and judge Crane. His rape fantasies. You and him in the Bergdorf Goodman dressing room.
Holly, what are they talking about? That wasn’t anything. I needed money.

Today Joy Villa sums up how this sad and demented old woman has been used by the shameless Anderson (PrettyBoy) Cooper at CNN:

There is no news any more. National or local. Instead, there are warped entertainment shows. What else can you call lying, whining, conniving, and pandering? Answer: A waste of time. (yawn)
BTW, is someone gonna drag this waste of flesh, or whistle dixie?

Why is a television found in any home? Why?

Some of us have elders who use it as their link to what was their reality.

If CNN weren’t subsidized by every person paying a provider for television content, they would have been driven out of business years ago. The woman in the Villa video is no victim. Presumably she meets the court’s definition of compos mentis, and is there of her own volition seeking her 15 minutes of shame. Cooper and CNN were happy to play her as a chump and she was happy to oblige. Elder abuse is a horrible act that preys on helpless people with dire consequences, and those who abuse are among the lowest of lowlifes. This pathetic spectacle, while it sinks lower than whale shit, isn’t abuse, just giving the old woman what she wants.

Sorry Joy, Anderson Cooper doesn’t have millions of viewers. He can’t break eight hundred thousand. You are right though. CNN thought that they could use her to attack Trump. Once again, like all of the other hoaxes of 2019 it blows up in their face. If they ever take CNN out of the nation’s airports they may not have one thousand viewers.

Rule number one, don’t do crowds.
Rule number two, never underestimate the enemy.
