Because… “the world is too much with us.”
The World Is Too Much With Us
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;—
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
The winds that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be
A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea;
Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.

That clip took my time wasting to a new level.
In that case may I humbly suggest:

If you enjoy the falling domino aspect of this video, I recommend looking up domino videos. There are some amazingly patient and obsessive people out there 🙂 Marble runs are also both fascinating and strangely relaxing.
I’d mention cat videos, but would guess everyone already knows to go looking for those…
Given the language printed on the box containing the mechanical cat and appearing elsewhere in the video, I’d say this is another entry in the “Japanese–Nuked Too Much or Not Enough?” series. But it’s charming as well as clever.
Something a little spicier: cats doing the can-can. It’s an animation and not a live performance, but it’s still enough to have Offenbach churning (or maybe doing high kicks) in his grave:

For cats, it is the thrill of the chase.
Or maybe just the bloodlust.
Whichever, dominoes don’t seem to supply it.
Thanks a lot Vanderleun. Now you made me late for my post-lunch nap.
