I remember going to see this movie during its theatrical release (1968) with a few of my friends, one of whom was a girl that I was interested in. This was one of the major musical numbers in the film and the one I remember humming/singing to myself as I walked said girl home.
(Full disclosure: we ended up dating 2x in high school, 2x in college, got married, had four kids together, and then the marriage ended. Still good friends and close, though.)
