“A BITCH.” An Analysis of the CARTEL immigration tsunami and its impact on the retail economy in Brooklyn, NY.

ML A motherfucking year off the motherfucking boat and got a good business in our neighborhood occupying a building that had been boarded up for longer than I care to remember and I’ve been here a long time.

SWEET DICK WILLIE It has been a long time.

COCONUT SID How long?

ML Too long! Too long. Now for the life of me, I haven’t been able to figger this out. Either dem Koreans are geniuses or we Blacks are dumb.

This is truly a stupefying question and all three are silent. What is the answer?

COCONUT SID It’s gotta be cuz we’re Black. No other explanation, nobody don’t want the Black man to be about shit.

SWEET DICK WILLIE Old excuse.

ML I’ll be one happy fool to see us have our own business right here. Yes, sir. I’d be the first in line to spend the little money I got.

Sweet Dick Willie gets up from his folding chair.

SWEET DICK WILLIE It’s Miller time. Let me go give these Koreans s’more business.

ML It’s a motherfucking shame.

COCONUT SID Ain’t that a bitch.

Those guys could be any race/gender, and with the same attitude, would be just as spiteful and pitiful. The liabilities don’t matter cause everybody has em. You gotta have the balls to get it off the ground and the long range fortitude to keep it in the air non-stop ALL the TIME. No matter what.

All along the way just about everybody will try to kick you in the ass and nobody is going to help you. You’re on your own for the most part. So you have to be vigilant, ever striving, constantly improving, always moving ahead, even when you ain’t. And always thinking of ways to be better.

    The key?
There is only one, and it’s simple.
    Choose something you really like.
    Nothing else matters.
The problem is, most people don’t know what they like.
They think they do, and they dream out loud to everybody about it.
    But they don’t.

Say you liked to watch sportsball and did it a lot, and one day someone said he would pay you $50 an hour to watch sportsball and after every every 100 hours you had to write a 1000 word essay on what you watched and you had to do that every week for the next month. 4 essays, 400 hours, 4 weeks, $20k income. Could you do it? Could you do it for 6 months? A year? 10 years? The rest of your life? What if that $20k dipped to $5k sometimes? No? Then how can you say you like watching sportsball?

If you’re not willing to give it your all, or, you don’t know what “all” means, don’t even bother, you have failed already.

“If you can’t get out of it, get into it.”

It’s SO much easier to just piss and moan, than to get up and work at something.

wonderful, wonderful film. didn’t say any of what it’s writer or directer thought it said, probably one of the best demonstrations of Scott Adams’ “two movies”.

That is some first-rate truth-telling. My hat’s off to the director/actors for this segment.
